The banking system for the blind was launched in Iranian banks in 2015 (1394 in the Iranian calendar) with the goal of allowing blind individuals to carry out banking operations independently. So far, nearly 300 branches across 24 banks in the country have been equipped with this system.
Using this system, blind users can independently perform all in-branch banking operations without needing an assistant or companion.
